Xiaomi launched a couple of new products in China on Wednesday, including the 65-inch Mi TV 4 and Apple AirPods clone called the Mi AirDots Youth Edition. In addition to these products, the Chinese OEM also launched the Mi Notebook Air with a 13.3-inch screen, as was suggested by the past rumours. The 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air is made official with a price tag of 3,999 Yuan which when roughly translated to INR comes around Rs 41,800. The laptop is currently available only in China and as of now, there are no reports if Xiaomi will launch the device in other markets, including India.
The 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air follows the 15.6-inch Mi Notebook Lite laptop which Xiaomi launched for a slightly cheaper price of 3399 Yuan which roughly translates to Rs 35,500 even though it packs a bigger screen. The 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i3 processor paired with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM.
The Mi Notebook Air sports a 13.3-inch LCD display with Full HD resolution support and a screen-to-body ratio of 80 per cent. Xiaomi claims that the all-new Mi Notebook Air offers a wide-viewing angle of 170 degrees which will deliver a great gaming experience to the users. The screen of the Mi Notebook Air is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and comes equipped with a full-sized keyboard and a big touchpad.
Apart from the great display, some of the other highlighting aspects of the Mi Notebook Air are its light weight and fingerprint unlocking. To be specific, the Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch is designed with a metal body, measures 309.6 x 210.9 x 14.8 mm and weighs 1.3 kg. The support for fingerprint unlock lets users to unlock the laptop with just a finger touch just the way smartphones are unlocked.

As far as the other specifications are concerned, the Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch comes with a 1-megapixel camera with support for HD video calls. It also comes packed with a digital microphone and support for Dolby Audio and AKG tuned custom-made dual speakers. The Xiaomi laptop packs several other features like — like USB-C, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, microSD card slot, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1.
