Oppo Reno 2 will be launched in India today and along with it, the Oppo Reno 2Z and Oppo Reno 2F are also expected to be launched. Many features about the phone are already known through the extensive marketing by the company. The Oppo Reno 2 will sport a shark fin rising pop up selfie camera while the Oppo Reno 2Z is expected to have a regular pop up selfie camera.
Oppo Reno 2 Launch Details
The phone will be launched today at 3PM IST and the event will be live-streamed via YouTube. The phone is expected to launch in China on September 10. At the moment, there is no information provided as to what the devices will be priced at.
Oppo Reno 2 Specifications
A few specifications have already been confirmed by Oppo. The Oppo Reno 2 will have 6.55-inch AMOLED Panoramic notch-less display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 protected by Gorilla Glass 6. The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 730G octa-core SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB on-board memory. It will have 4,000mAh battery capacity with VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 support. It will also sport an in-display fingerprint sensor 3.0 powered by G3 optical sensor fingerprint unlocking technology.
Oppo Reno 2 will also support the new Ultra Dark Mode or Bokeh Mode which features a dedicated Neural Processing Unit. The phone also has various new features for a better gaming experience like Game Boost 3.0, Game Assistant, and HDR10 gaming support along with anti-cheat extensions and optimized Wi-Fi connectivity.
Although it is known that the phone will feature a quad cam setup, other details of the camera has not been confirmed by Oppo. According to leaks, the quad cam will have a 48 MP primary camera along with 13 MP, 8 MP, and 2 MP sensors. The phone will have 20x hybrid zoom as confirmed by Oppo.
The specifications for Oppo Reno 2F and Oppo Reno 2Z have not yet been confirmed by Oppo either.
