Gaming smartphones have been gaining popularity around the world, and now, it’s time for India to get some of that goodness.
The Black Shark 2, which can be touted as the first major gaming smartphone of the season, has finally launched in India. Black Shark is an independent smartphone manufacturer out of China, founded two years ago. Eventually, Xiaomi acquired a stake in the company.
The Black Shark 2 looks like a gaming phone through and through, with the back being contoured with different materials in a few shades of grey, and the center features the glowing logo. On the sides, we get RGB LED strips that can be customised, in a true gamer fashion. The front sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display, with support for HDR, and has no notches cutting into the screen. While the refresh rate is still 60Hz, the Black Shark 2 has a response rate of 240Hz, which means that there will be very little latency between when an input is provided and when it gets registered (43.5ms to be specific).
